In a contest largely dictated by the passing game, Arkansas State held off a late comeback from Missouri State to secure a 34–28 victory at the Ford Center at The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ training headquarters.
The Red Wolves close their season on a positive note at 7–6, earning a second straight bowl victory—an achievement the program had not accomplished in more than a decade. From the opening drive, the offense led by Jaylen Raynor set the tone. The quarterback methodically picked apart the opposing defense, throwing for 288 yards and three touchdowns while guiding Arkansas State to four scoring drives to open the game.
The first half clearly belonged to the Red Wolves, who went into the locker room with a 24–7 lead.
