Les Aces de Las Vegas (4-2) ont pris leur revanche 75 à 70 sur le Storm de Seattle dans un match haletant qui s'est joué jusqu'aux dernières secondes. Une semaine après avoir subi une lourde défaite de 20 points face à cette même équipe, les joueuses du Nevada sont revenues dans l'Emerald City avec la ferme intention d'effacer cet affront.

Erica Wheeler a enflammé la foule avec un panier en pénétration ramenant l'écart à 9 points, avant d'envoyer un trois points décisif sur une passe de Skylar Diggins pour ramener Seattle à 5 longueurs (73-68). Gabby Williams a poursuivi l'effort avec un nouveau panier à 37 secondes du terme (73-70).

The Las Vegas Aces (4-2) took their revenge with a 75-70 win over the Seattle Storm in a thrilling contest that came down to the final seconds. Just one week after suffering a 20-point blowout loss to this same team, the Aces returned to the Emerald City determined to right the wrongs.
After a humbling loss in their previous matchup exactly seven days prior, Las Vegas stepped back into Climate Pledge Arena with a chip on their shoulder. That 20-point defeat still echoed in the locker room, and the Aces were intent on setting the record straight.
Despite a promising start in that first encounter, the Aces had been quickly overwhelmed by a ruthless Storm squad. Unable to shift the momentum, Las Vegas was swept away in an offensive storm that left its mark.
This rematch, arriving just one week later and serving as the opening game of the Commissioner's Cup, was perfectly timed. Vegas came to reset the scoreboard and prove that their prior loss was nothing more than a bump in the road. Blazing Start for Las Vegas
Right from the tip, Las Vegas made their intentions clear. After Gabby Williams opened the scoring for Seattle—drawing a big roar from the home crowd—the Aces responded with a dominant 7-0 run. Seattle’s eight turnovers in the first quarter proved costly, helping the Aces build a 10-point lead (27-17).
Jackie Young was particularly sharp with 8 points, 2 steals, and 2 rebounds, while Gabby Williams tried to keep Seattle in it with 5 early points.
Aces Extend the Lead in the Second Quarter

Wild Finish
The fourth quarter delivered fireworks worthy of a playoff game. Rookie Dominique Malonga entered the game and instantly gave Seattle a boost, scoring 8 points in just three minutes and throwing A’ja Wilson off her rhythm.
Dom grew up today, in a lot of ways. I thought, you know, excellent, excellent defense on Gray and A'ja. You know, they are star-starring. They make really, really tough shots over her length. But, you know, there was no low-byes. She stayed in place. She was physical. You know, we were working with Dom to get her hands up. And I thought that she was more mindful of that, that she had those coverages with a lot of good energy. Erica Wheeler brought the crowd to its feet with a driving layup to cut it to single digits, then drilled a three off a Skylar Diggins assist to bring Seattle within five (73-68). Williams continued the push with another basket, trimming the lead to 73-70 with just 37 seconds to go.
But it was Jewell Loyd who had the final word, calmly knocking down two free throws to secure the 75-70 victory for the Aces.
