Porté par une Nneka Ogwumike toujours aussi précieuse dans les moments clés, le Seattle Storm a pris le dessus sur les Golden State Valkyries (67-58) mercredi soir au Climate Pledge Arena, pour signer une 14e victoire cette saison (14-9, 8-4 à domicile) et boucler la première moitié du calendrier sur une note positive.
Le match avait pourtant mal démarré pour les locales, devancées à la pause (30-31) par une formation californienne accrocheuse mais en manque d'efficacité. C’est en sortie de vestiaire que la bascule s’est opérée : Erica Wheeler a alors pris feu, inscrivant 11 de ses 15 points dans un troisième quart incandescent pour remettre Seattle devant (48-44).
