The turning point came early in the second quarter: facing fourth down, Sayin lofted a 35-yard strike to Jeremiah Smith for the go-ahead touchdown. The momentum never flipped back. Just before halftime, Sayin connected with Brandon Inniss to make it 17–9, and on the opening drives of the second half, he delivered a 50-yard scoring bomb to Carnell Tate to put the game out of reach.
OHIO STATE DOMINATES THE TRENCHES
Freshman running back Bo Jackson played the most complete game of his young career, finishing with 117 rushing yards and setting the tone for a ground attack that totaled 186 yards. The offensive line consistently controlled the line of scrimmage, giving Sayin time and clearing lanes all afternoon.
