TUCSON, Arizona — Les Fresno State Bulldogs a conclu sa saison par une victoire de contrôle et de discipline, s’imposant 18–3 face aux Miami RedHawks samedi soir à l’Arizona Stadium lors de l’Arizona Bowl. Dans un match longtemps verrouillé, les Bulldogs ont fait la différence grâce à leur rigueur défensive, à la précision de leur jeu au pied et à un unique touchdown inscrit en début de quatrième quart-temps.

La rencontre a démarré à l’avantage de Miami (Ohio), qui a profité de son premier drive pour s’approcher de la red zone. TUCSON, Arizona — The Fresno State Bulldogs closed their season with a composed and disciplined performance, defeating the Miami RedHawks 18–3 on Saturday night at Arizona Stadium in the Arizona Bowl. In a game defined by field position and defensive control, Fresno State relied on efficiency, special teams precision, and one decisive touchdown to secure the victory.

Miami (Ohio) struck first on its opening possession, moving the ball inside the red zone before stalling at the 15-yard line. A 33-yard field goal gave the RedHawks an early lead, but it proved to be their only scoring moment of the night. From that point on, Fresno State’s defense tightened its grip, shutting down Miami’s offense and allowing just 192 total yards.

Offensively, Fresno State played with patience and balance. Quarterback E.J. Warner delivered a steady outing, completing 16 of 23 passes for 214 yards without an interception. While touchdowns were elusive in the first half, the Bulldogs leaned on the reliable leg of Dylan Lynch, who connected on three field goals in the second quarter alone. Those kicks gave Fresno State a 9–3 advantage heading into halftime and reflected a methodical approach built on taking points whenever available.

The pivotal moment arrived early in the fourth quarter. Warner capped a controlled drive by finding Richie Anderson III on a short two-yard touchdown pass — the only touchdown of the game. Fresno State attempted a two-point conversion to extend the margin further, but the pass fell incomplete. Still, the Bulldogs remained firmly in control. Lynch later added his fourth field goal of the night, a 37-yarder with under three minutes remaining, to put the game out of reach.

Wide receiver Josiah Freeman was Warner’s primary target, hauling in seven receptions for 143 yards and consistently stretching Miami’s defense. On the other side, freshman quarterback Thomas Gotkowski endured a difficult evening for the RedHawks, completing just 6 of 22 passes for 72 yards and throwing one interception.

The win capped a 9–4 season for Fresno State and delivered a bowl victory in the first year under head coach Matt Entz.
